Jump to a section

Our pet safe carpet cleaning in Jackson uses products that are tested and safe for homes. For severe allergies or sensitivities we have a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume. Tell us about any specific concerns before the service. Carpet dries in about half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours, and air movers speed it up.

Children and pets spend more time on the floor than anyone else in the house. A toddler plays on the carpet. A dog sleeps on it. So people ask what we clean with, and it is a fair question.

The products we use are tested and safe for homes. If someone in the house has severe allergies or sensitivities, we have a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume. Tell us about any specific concerns before the service and we will plan for them.

Why We Rinse

Much of what makes cleaned carpet unpleasant is cleaner left behind in the fiber.

Detergent residue is sticky. Carpet with residue in it feels tacky underfoot and picks soil back up faster. It is also what a crawling child puts their hands into and a dog lies on.

So we rinse. Hot water extraction pulls the cleaner and the soil back out, and the carpet is neutralized if it needs it.

Once it is dry, walk on it barefoot. It should feel like carpet. If it feels tacky, call us and we will come look at it.

How We Keep It Safe

  1. Tell Us About Any Concerns First

Before the service, tell us about allergies, sensitivities, asthma, pets or small children in the house. That decides which product we bring.

  2. We Look at the Floor

We check the fiber and the surface before choosing a cleaner. Wool, nylon and polyester take different products, and so do ceramic tile, natural stone and finished hardwood.

  3. Products Tested and Safe for Homes

The products we use are tested and safe for homes. For severe allergies or sensitivities we use a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume.

  4. Pet Accidents Treated at the Source

We inspect pet spots with a UV light and a moisture meter instead of covering the smell with fragrance. Isolated pad damage can be flushed by subsurface extraction. Most stains come out and odor is removed or greatly reduced, though we cannot promise complete odor removal every time.

  5. Extract and Rinse

Extraction at 300 to 500 PSI with water heated to 200 to 240°F pulls the cleaner and the loosened soil back out. The carpet is neutralized if needed.

  6. Let It Dry

Allow about half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours. Air movers speed it up, and carpet dries faster in winter than in a humid summer. You get a chance to look at the work before we leave.

Pets and Children During the Visit

A few things you can do so the visit goes smoothly for everyone in your house.

  • Secure Pets Away From the Work Area

A closed room, a crate, the yard or a neighbor's house all work. The process is not dangerous. Open doors, equipment and long hose runs are simply how pets slip out of the house.

  • Tell Us Who Is in the House

Cats hide, dogs investigate and toddlers appear in doorways. When you tell us who is home, we plan the doors, hoses and equipment around them.

  • Mention Any Sensitivities

If someone in the house has asthma, a fragrance sensitivity or an allergy, tell us before the service. We can bring the hypoallergenic cleaner, which has no odor or perfume.

  • Plan Around the Drying Window

If a child naps in one room at a set time, tell us. We will clean that room first, so it is the driest room soonest.

After We Leave

  • Keep people and pets off the carpet while it dries, where you can. The main reason is soil, not safety: feet on damp carpet track dirt straight back into it. A baby gate across the doorway works better than a shut door, which slows drying.
  • Run fans or your air conditioning. Airflow is the biggest single factor in drying time, and it helps your carpet dry in about half a day instead of closer to 24 hours.
  • Wait until the carpet is fully dry before you put furniture back, especially anything wooden or metal that can transfer color or rust into damp fiber.
  • Your house should not have a strong chemical smell. If it does, give us a call and we will look at it.
  • Once the carpet is dry, children and pets can use it normally.

You can read more in drying times explained and after-service care tips.

Honest Limits

We would rather set an honest expectation than make a promise we cannot keep.

  • Safe for homes does not mean safe to swallow. We keep concentrated products on the truck, away from children and pets, the same way you would store them at home.
  • Some antique, unsealed or specialty materials should not be wet cleaned at all. If yours is one of them, we will tell you when we look at it instead of trying anyway.
  • We are a cleaning company, not a medical service. Cleaning does reduce the allergen load trapped in carpet. It is not a treatment for anyone's asthma or allergies.
  • Most stains come out and odor is removed or greatly reduced. Urine that soaked the same spot for years can reach the pad and sometimes the subfloor, and we cannot promise that odor will fully leave. We tell you what we found before work starts.

Questions About Safety

Are your cleaning products safe for kids and pets?

Yes. The products we use are tested and safe for homes. For severe allergies or sensitivities we have a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume. Tell us about any specific concerns before the service.

How long until my children can play on the carpet?

Once it is fully dry, which usually takes about half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours. Keeping everyone off while it dries is mostly about soil, because feet on damp carpet track dirt straight back into clean fiber.

Will my house smell like chemicals afterward?

It should not. If someone in the house is sensitive to smells, tell us before the service and we will use the hypoallergenic cleaner, which has no odor or perfume. If you notice a strong smell afterward, call us at (731) 437-0006 and we will look at it.

Where should my dog be during the appointment?

Somewhere secure and away from the work area, such as a closed room, a crate or a fenced yard. The cleaning itself is not the risk. Open doors, running equipment and hoses across the threshold are how dogs slip out, so tell us about your pets when you call.

Does carpet cleaning help with allergies?

It helps, and it is not a cure. Carpet traps pollen, dust and other airborne particles, and removing that trapped load means less gets stirred back into the air of your home. It is not a medical treatment for asthma or allergies.

Will the carpet feel sticky when it dries?

It should not. Sticky carpet comes from cleaner left in the fiber, which is why we rinse and neutralize when needed. If your carpet feels tacky once it is dry, call us. David will come back, look at it, and re-clean if needed.
