Realistic Results, Honestly

- Old food and drink spills are often the hardest thing on a family couch. Some drink mixes and sauces contain dyes that bond to the fiber. Those spots may lighten instead of coming out.
- Pet hair woven into the fabric is different from loose hair on top. A lot of it comes out. On microfiber and loose weaves, some stays in and works out over time with normal vacuuming.
- A spot already scrubbed with a store-bought cleaner is usually harder to treat. Household products often set the stain or leave residue we have to get out first.
- Cleaning does not restore worn fabric. Pilling on the seat cushions, thin spots on the arms and split seams are damage. The couch will be clean and still show its age.

Is there a difference between couch cleaning and sofa cleaning?
No. Same piece of furniture, same service. What matters is the fabric and how your family uses the piece.
Can you get pet hair out of the fabric?
A lot of it, and we get it out before any moisture goes on. Hair that has worked deep into a loose weave or microfiber is stubborn, and some will keep coming loose with normal vacuuming afterward.
What should I do about a fresh spill before you arrive?
Blot with white towels from the outside of the spill inward, and do not rub. Rubbing spreads it and fuzzes the fabric. Skip store-bought spot cleaners, which often set the stain or leave residue behind.
Do you clean under the cushions?
Yes. The cushions come off, and we clean the deck and the seams. On a family couch, that is usually where most of the debris has ended up.
How soon can the kids get back on it?
Once it is fully dry, generally 2 to 6 hours. Sitting on damp upholstery presses soil from clothes into fabric we just cleaned.
