Before we leave a job in Jackson or West Tennessee, you get a chance to look at the work, and David asks if you have any questions or concerns. If something is not right and it is within our ability, we make it right before we leave. If you call later, David comes back, looks, and re-cleans if needed.

Every job has a look at the start and a look at the end. The first is the walkthrough, before any cleaning. You show us the areas, point out the spots that bother you, and tell us what you know about them. The second is yours. Before we leave, you get a chance to look at the work.

The timing of that second look is the point. We are still at your house, and the truck is still in the driveway. If you see something that is not right, that is the moment to say so.

David has a simple way of putting it: if it is within our ability, we make it right before we leave. Some things are not within anyone's ability. Worn fiber and dye damage do not clean out. But a spot that could use another try gets one while we are still there.

You know your rooms better than we do. You know which mark has bothered you for two years and how the light falls in the afternoon. So take your time, look at the floor, and ask about anything you see.

What to Look At Before We Leave

There is no wrong way to do this, but here is where we would start. Point at anything you want us to look at again.

  • The Spots You Pointed Out

Start with whatever you showed us at the walkthrough. Those are the places you care about most.

  • Traffic Lanes

Look at the paths your family walks: the hallway, the doorways and the way from the kitchen to the sofa. They carried the most soil.

  • Edges and Corners

Look along the baseboards and into the corners of each room.

  • Stairs

If we cleaned stairs, look at each step. They take a lot of traffic in a family home.

  • Furniture and Blocks

Furniture we moved should be back where it was, sitting on blocks. Leave the blocks in place until the carpet is dry.

  • Hard Floors

On tile, look at the grout lines. On hardwood and luxury vinyl plank, look at the floor from a low angle against the light.

From the Walkthrough to the Last Look

  1. The Walkthrough at the Start

Before any cleaning, we go through the areas with you. You point out what bothers you. That gives both of us something to check against at the end.

  2. The Cleaning

On carpet that means a pre-vacuum, traffic-lane cleaner and hot water extraction. Other floors have their own process.

  3. Spots Treated and Rinsed Again

Any spots still showing after the main cleaning are treated and rinsed a second time. This happens before you are asked to look, not after.

  4. You Look at the Work

Before we leave, you get a chance to look at what we did. Damp carpet looks a little darker than it will once it is dry, so allow for that.

  5. David Asks for Your Questions

David asks if you have any questions or concerns. It is a real question. Say what you see.

  6. We Make It Right if We Can

If something is not right and it is within our ability, we make it right before we leave.

  7. If You Call Later

Carpet can look different once it has dried. If something shows up after we have gone, call. David comes back, looks at it, and re-cleans if needed.

What Happens on Every Job

  • A walkthrough before we start, where you point out what matters
  • Spot treatment and a second rinse on anything still showing
  • Furniture put back and blocked
  • A chance to look at the work before we leave
  • David asking if you have any questions or concerns
  • Another try, there and then, at anything that is within our ability to improve
  • A return visit from David to look, and re-clean if needed, if you call later

If Something Shows Up After We Leave

If it is within our ability, we make it right before we leave. If you call later, David comes back, looks at it, and re-cleans if needed.

Some things only show once a carpet is completely dry. If the floor looks different the next morning than it did when we left, call us and describe what you see. David comes back, looks at it, and re-cleans if needed.

The most common case is a spot that comes back. An old spill that soaked down toward the backing can travel back up the fiber as the carpet dries, and show at the surface again hours later. The trade name for it is wicking. It shows most on the oldest and deepest spots.

We cannot tell you ahead of time which spots will do this, and we cannot promise what a second cleaning will do. What we can tell you is that David will come and look.

The sooner you call, the better. A spot that reappeared yesterday is easier to judge than one that has had a month of foot traffic over it.

What a Second Look Cannot Change

We would rather set an honest expectation than make a promise we cannot keep.

  • We do not always know what will come out. That is true at the start of the job and it is still true at the end.
  • Within our ability means what cleaning can do. Bleach spots, dye loss and worn traffic lanes are damage to the fiber, and no amount of cleaning brings them back.
  • Damp carpet looks a little darker and flatter than dry carpet. The real result shows once it has dried.
  • With pet urine, most stains come out and the odor is removed or greatly reduced. Complete odor removal cannot be promised every time.
  • It helps to be direct with us. Pointing at something while we are still there is the most useful thing you can do for your own result.

Inspection Questions

What happens at the end of the job?

You get a chance to look at the work before we leave, and David asks if you have any questions or concerns. Take your time. Look at the spots you pointed out at the start, the traffic lanes and anything else you care about.

What happens if I am not happy with part of the job?

Say so while we are there. If it is within our ability, we make it right before we leave. If you only notice something after we have gone, call and tell us what you see and where. David comes back, looks at it, and re-cleans if needed.

A stain came back a few hours after you left. What is that?

It is often wicking. A spill that soaked deep can travel back up the fiber as the carpet dries and show at the surface again. Call us. David comes back, looks at it, and re-cleans if needed. We cannot promise what will come out, but we will look.

Do I need to be there at the end of the job?

It is much better if you are. You know your own rooms, and you know which spots matter to you. If you cannot be there, look the floors over once they are dry and call us if anything concerns you.

How long after the clean can I call about a concern?

Call as soon as you notice something. Spots that come back usually show in the first day or two, as the carpet dries. The sooner we hear about it, the easier it is to tell what happened.

Will you ask me for a review before you leave?

No. We ask whether you have any questions or concerns about the work. With the invoice, we let you know where you can leave a review if you would like to. It is a suggestion, never a requirement.

Have a Question About How We Work?

Tell us what needs cleaning, which rooms and roughly how big they are. We put an estimate together, and once you approve it we set a time. You look at the work before we leave.

Before, During and After the Visit

The look at the end is one part of the job. These guides cover the rest, from the first call to the dry floor.

Noticed something after we left?

Tell us what you see and where. The sooner we look at it, the easier it is to work out what happened. David comes back, looks at it, and re-cleans if needed.
