HydroClean cleans carpet with hot water extraction and matches the method to each hard floor. Carpet dries in about half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours. Hard floors are usually ready in 1 to 2 hours. Most homes should clean carpet every 12 to 18 months, more often with children and pets.
These are the questions people in Jackson and the towns around it ask us most. We answer them here the way we would on the phone. They cover the methods we use, how pricing works, what may not come out and how to get ready for the visit.
If your question is not here, call and ask. David still answers the phone. If we cannot help with something, we will tell you.

Are your technicians trained and certified?
Yes. HydroClean is IICRC certified, fully insured and has been locally owned in Jackson since 2010. David Laton started the company, and he still answers the phone and works the jobs. Whoever is in your home can explain each step, so ask as many questions as you like.
Process, Results and Drying
How often should carpets and floors be professionally cleaned?
Most West Tennessee homes do well with a professional cleaning every 12 to 18 months. Homes with pets, small children or allergies usually need the shorter end, and busy traffic paths may need more. Spring and fall are good times for it. We send a reminder card and you book when you are ready.
How long does it take for carpets and floors to dry after cleaning?
Carpet dries in about half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours. Tile, stone and hardwood are usually ready in 1 to 2 hours, and upholstery usually dries in 2 to 6 hours. Carpet dries faster in winter than in a humid West Tennessee summer. Air movers speed it up, and we tell you what to expect before we leave.
Do you stand behind your work?
Yes. You get a chance to look at the work before we leave. If something is not right and it is within our ability, we make it right before we leave. If you notice something after we go, call (731) 437-0006. David comes back, looks at it, and cleans it again if needed.
What cleaning method do you use?
We clean carpet with hot water extraction, at 300 to 500 PSI with water heated to 200 to 240°F. Upholstery gets a method matched to its fiber, which we identify first. Tile, stone, hardwood, luxury vinyl and VCT each get their own method, chosen after we look at the surface.
Can you remove every stain?
No, and we will not promise it. We do not always know what will come out. Most soil and fresh spills come out, and many stains improve. Old dye loss, bleach spots and pet urine that reached the pad or subfloor can remain. Point out the spots that worry you and we will tell you what we expect.
Can you get rid of pet urine odor completely?
Often, but we cannot promise it every time. Most stains come out and the odor is removed or greatly reduced. We inspect with a UV light and a moisture meter. Isolated pad damage can be flushed by subsurface extraction. If contamination covers more than roughly 30 to 40 percent of a room, replacement is usually the better advice. We do not replace pad or seal subfloors, so we refer you to a carpet installer for that.
Do you move furniture?
Yes, within reason. We move furniture where needed, clean underneath, then put it back and block it. We do not move large, heavy furniture or anything that would have to be taken apart: beds, large sectionals, china cabinets, pianos, aquariums, gun safes, TVs and entertainment centers. If you want the floor underneath cleaned, have those moved before the appointment.
Will my carpet feel sticky afterward?
It should not. Carpet feels sticky when cleaning solution stays in the fiber. That is why we rinse and extract thoroughly, and neutralize the carpet when it needs it. Rinsed carpet also stays clean longer, because less is left behind to pull soil back in.
Pricing and Estimates
How much does carpet cleaning cost?
We price every job individually, so we do not post prices. Your estimate depends on what needs cleaning, which rooms and how big they are. There is a service minimum, so a very small job is billed at a flat minimum rate. To get your estimate, call (731) 437-0006 or send the Request an Estimate form.
Do you charge extra for travel?
No. Travel is built into the overall price, so there is no separate line for the drive. If you want to add a service while we are at your home, we do it if time allows. If not, we quote it and schedule another date.
Safety for Kids, Pets and Floors
Are your cleaning products safe for kids, pets, and sensitive flooring?
Yes. Our products are tested and safe for homes, and we rinse thoroughly. For severe allergies or sensitivities we have a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume. Tell us about crawling babies, older pets or allergies when you call.
Booking and Scheduling
How do I get an estimate or schedule a cleaning?
Call or text (731) 437-0006, or use the Request an Estimate form on this site. We respond to requests on the same business day. We ask what needs cleaning, which rooms and the rough sizes. Most carpet cleaning can be estimated over the phone. A home over 4,000 square feet, or a job with smoke odor or a lot of pet stains and odor, normally needs an on-site visit before a final number. Once you approve the estimate, we schedule a time.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
We send a checklist 24 to 48 hours before your appointment. It is short: pick up toys, clothes and small items, and have the rooms open and available. Settle pets in a room away from the work, and point out any stain that worries you so we can look at it first.
Do you offer same-day or emergency service?
We are available 24/7 for emergency visits. Same-day cleaning that is not an emergency depends on the day's schedule. Call (731) 437-0006 and we will tell you what the day allows.
Why do some of these answers say no, or only partly?
Because sometimes that is the true answer. Most soil comes out, and many stains improve. Dye loss, wear and pet urine that soaked a large part of the pad can remain. We would rather you hear that before the work starts.
We do not always know what will come out until we clean it. So where an answer depends on how long a stain has been there or what was used on it before, that is what you will read. When we are at your home, we look at the floor and tell you what we expect.
