Chair cleaning in Jackson covers accent chairs, wingbacks, office chairs and any single upholstered seat. Chairs often carry more decorative fabric than a sofa, such as piping, welt cord and skirts, and those trims can be a different material than the body. We identify and test each fabric before any cleaning starts.

Chairs are the pieces people forget. The sofa gets cleaned, the carpet gets cleaned, and the two accent chairs in the corner stay as they were. Then the room is done, and those chairs are the dingiest thing in it.

Chairs also vary more than anything else we clean. One chair can have a linen body, a contrasting welt cord, a skirt and nailhead trim, and those parts are not always the same material. A method that is safe on the body can shrink a cotton welt cord or leave a water mark on a silk-blend panel. So we identify each part on its own instead of treating the chair as one fabric.

Office chairs are their own case. Mesh backs, foam seats and metal frames sit inches apart, and the seat takes body oil from eight hours a day of use. We keep the moisture down so nothing runs into the gas cylinder or the mechanism. Call (731) 437-0006 or request an estimate.

Benefits of Chair Cleaning

  • Each fabric on the chair identified and tested on its own
  • Trims, piping and skirts checked before cleaning
  • Extra pre-spray on the seat and inside arms, where oil builds up
  • Moisture kept away from frames and mechanisms
  • Small pieces dry quickly, often at the shorter end of 2 to 6 hours

Who This Is For

  • Homes with accent, occasional or wingback chairs
  • Anyone cleaning a sofa who wants the room to match
  • Home offices with fabric desk chairs
  • Waiting rooms, churches and meeting rooms with fabric seating
  • Owners of inherited or secondhand chairs of unknown history

Our Process

  1. Identify Every Fabric on the Chair

We check the body, piping, welt cord, skirt and any accent panel separately, and read the cleaning code. On antique or reupholstered chairs with no tag, we take the cautious route.

  2. Test Each One

We test a hidden spot on the body and on any contrasting trim. A dark welt cord bleeding onto a light body cannot be undone.

  3. Pre-Spray and Dwell

Pre-spray sits 5 to 10 minutes. The seat, inside arms and headrest area get the most.

  4. Hand-Shampoo or Hot-Water Extraction

Decorative and delicate fabric gets shampooed by hand. Sturdy water-safe fabric gets extracted with a small hand tool. Nothing is allowed to run into the frame.

  5. Spot Treatment and Rinse

Spots that remain get treated, then the fabric is rinsed to neutral or slightly acidic.

  6. Air-Dry and Look It Over

The chair air-dries, and you look at it with us before we leave.

What's Included

  • Separate identification of body fabric, trims and accent panels
  • Cleaning code check on every chair
  • A hidden-spot test on the body and on contrasting trim
  • Pre-spray with 5 to 10 minutes of dwell
  • Hand-shampoo or hot-water extraction, chosen by fabric
  • Spot treatment and a rinse to neutral or slightly acidic
  • Wood legs and arms kept dry
  • A look at each chair with you

Realistic Results, Honestly

We would rather set an honest expectation than make a promise we cannot keep.

  • Contrasting trim is the main risk on a decorative chair. A dark welt cord or piping that bleeds onto a light body is permanent. If our test shows any dye movement in the trim, we change the method or clean around it, and we tell you why.
  • Antique and reupholstered chairs often have no cleaning tag, and the fabric may be older than the upholstery job. We test carefully and take the cautious route, which can mean a lighter result than modern fabric would give.
  • Fabrics coded X are vacuum only. Some decorative and silk-blend chair fabrics fall into that group, and liquid on them causes water rings that do not come out.
  • Worn arm caps, thin fabric over the front rail and flat seat foam are wear. Cleaning does not put fabric back.

Safe for Your Family and Pets

Our products are family safe and pet safe, and we use them in controlled amounts so nothing runs into a wooden frame, a chair mechanism or a gas cylinder. We keep wood legs and arms dry. Let the chair dry fully before you sit on it, usually at the shorter end of 2 to 6 hours.

Chair Cleaning Questions

Can you clean a chair with no fabric tag?

Yes, with care. With no code, we test the fabric ourselves in a hidden spot and use the safer method. On antiques and reupholstered pieces, that can mean a gentler clean and a more modest result.

Do you clean office chairs?

Yes. Fabric and mesh office chairs get the most attention on the seat and lumbar area, where daily use leaves body oil. We keep the moisture down so nothing reaches the gas cylinder or the tilt mechanism.

Is it worth cleaning chairs at the same time as the sofa?

Usually. We are already there with the equipment, and it is the difference between a finished room and a clean sofa next to two chairs that now look dingy. Tell us about the chairs when you call so they are on the estimate.

What about the wooden arms and legs?

We keep them dry. Water sitting on a wood finish can leave a mark, so we watch the moisture around exposed wood.

Can you clean tufted or buttoned chairs?

Yes. Tufting and button wells collect crumbs and dust, so those get cleared first. They also hold moisture longer, so we use less liquid there.

Wondering about cost? We do not post prices, but you can see what affects the price of upholstery cleaning.
