HydroClean does carpet cleaning in Jackson, TN with truck-mounted hot water extraction. We pre-vacuum, move furniture where needed, apply a traffic-lane cleaner, then extract at 300 to 500 PSI with water heated to 200 to 240°F. Most carpet dries in about half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours. Old stains may only lighten.

Carpet holds more than you can see. Shoes grind grit down to the base of the pile, below where a vacuum reaches, and that grit is what wears carpet out. Oils from skin, cooking and pets hold fine dust to the fiber. That is why traffic lanes darken first and stay dull however often you vacuum.

We start with a walkthrough. We look at the traffic lanes and the spots with you and tell you what we think. We do not always know what will come out until we clean it, and we would rather say that up front. Then we pre-vacuum, put down a traffic-lane cleaner and extract with hot water. The dirty water goes back out to the truck. If the carpet needs it, we neutralize it so no cleaner stays in the fiber.

Some people call this carpet shampooing. Shampoo works a foaming detergent into the pile, and some of that detergent stays behind. Hot water extraction rinses the fiber and recovers the water and soil together, which is why it is the method we use.

David Laton started HydroClean in Jackson in 2010, and he still answers the phone and works the jobs. We are family-owned, fully insured and IICRC certified. To get a price, call or text (731) 437-0006 or send an estimate request and tell us what needs cleaning, which rooms and roughly how big they are. Most carpet cleaning can be estimated over the phone. A home over 4,000 square feet, or a job with smoke odor or a lot of pet stains and odor, normally needs a visit before we give a final number.

All Carpet Cleaning Services

Each service below has its own page. It explains how we do the work, what to expect and what may remain.

  • Deep Carpet Cleaning

More time on the pre-vacuum, the traffic-lane cleaner and the extraction, for carpet that has gone years without a professional clean.

  • Hot Water Extraction

Heated water sprayed into the carpet under pressure and vacuumed straight back out with the soil, powered from the truck.

  • Steam Carpet Cleaning

What most people call steam cleaning: heated extraction that flushes soil out of the fiber and rinses it clean.

  • Residential Carpet Cleaning

House carpet cleaning, a few rooms or the whole home, with the work put where your family walks the most.

  • Commercial Carpet Cleaning

Retail, medical, church and facility carpet cleaning, with the timing, keys and alarm codes worked out ahead of time.

  • Pet Stain Carpet Cleaning

Treatment for pet accidents that reaches below the surface, and we tell you what we think each spot will do.

  • Pet Odor Carpet Cleaning

Odor treatment that goes after the urine residue causing the smell instead of covering it with fragrance.

  • Carpet Stain Removal

Chemistry matched to each stain type, and a straight answer when we are not sure a spot will come out.

  • Carpet Protection Application

A treatment applied after cleaning that gives you time to blot a spill before it becomes a stain.

Our Process

  1. Walkthrough

We look at the carpet with you and find the problem areas. If we think a stain may be permanent, we say so before any work starts. We do not always know what will come out.

  2. Pre-Vacuum

We vacuum every area first. Dry soil is much easier to remove before any water goes in.

  3. Move Furniture

We move furniture where needed and clean underneath. When it goes back, we set it on blocks so the legs are not sitting on damp carpet. We do not move large, heavy pieces or anything that has to be taken apart, such as beds, large sectionals, china cabinets, pianos and gun safes.

  4. Traffic-Lane Cleaner

We apply a traffic-lane cleaner and give it time to work. It breaks the bond between the soil and the fiber.

  5. Hot Water Extraction

We extract at 300 to 500 PSI with water heated to 200 to 240°F. The water and the soil come straight back out to the truck.

  6. Spot Treatment and Second Rinse

Any spots still showing after extraction get treated and rinsed again.

  7. Neutralize if Needed

If the carpet needs it, we neutralize it so no cleaner stays in the fiber. Leftover cleaner is what makes carpet feel sticky and re-soil fast.

  8. Protector, if You Bought It

Carpet protector is optional. When you purchase it, it goes on last, over clean carpet.

  9. Drying

Allow about half a day for the carpet to dry, sometimes up to 24 hours. Air movers speed it up. Carpet dries faster in winter than in a humid summer.

  10. You Look at the Work

You get a chance to look at the work before we leave. If something is not right and it is within our ability, we make it right before we leave.

What's Included

  • A walkthrough before we start
  • Pre-vacuuming of every area
  • Furniture moved where needed, cleaned under, put back and blocked
  • Traffic-lane cleaner on the walked areas
  • Truck-mounted hot water extraction at 200 to 240°F
  • Spot treatment and a second rinse where needed
  • Neutralizing if the carpet needs it
  • A chance to look at the work before we leave

Realistic Results, Honestly

We would rather set an honest expectation than make a promise we cannot keep.

  • Traffic lanes almost always improve a great deal. A path walked for years may still read a little darker than the carpet beside it. Grit wears the fiber down over time, and that wear is physical. Cleaning does not reverse it.
  • Most soil comes out, and many stains improve. Old, set-in and previously treated stains may lighten rather than disappear. Some spills dye the fiber for good, and a store-bought product can set a stain further.
  • Bleach spots, sun fading, old dye loss and pet urine that has reached the pad are damage. Cleaning does not restore them. If we see that during the walkthrough, we tell you then.
  • Filtration soiling, the dark lines along baseboards and under doors, is airborne soot pulled through the carpet edge. It improves with treatment but often does not come out entirely.
  • We do not always know what will come out. We tell you what we think before we start, and you look at the work before we leave.

Carpet Cleaning Questions

How long does carpet take to dry after cleaning?

Allow about half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours. Air movers speed it up, and so does running your heat or air. Carpet dries faster in winter than it does in a humid summer.

How often should carpets be professionally cleaned?

Most homes do well with a professional cleaning every 12 to 18 months. Homes with pets, children, allergies or heavy traffic need the shorter interval. We recommend spring and fall. We send a reminder card, and you book when you are ready.

Is carpet cleaning safe for kids and pets?

Yes. Our products are tested and safe for homes. For severe allergies or sensitivities, we have a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume. Keep pets and children off the carpet while it dries, mostly so they do not track soil back onto it.

Do you move furniture?

Yes, the pieces we can move safely. We clean underneath, put them back and set them on blocks. We do not move large, heavy furniture or anything that has to be taken apart: beds, large sectionals, china cabinets, pianos, aquariums, gun safes, TVs and entertainment centers. If you want the carpet under those cleaned, have them moved before we arrive.

What method do you use?

Hot water extraction, which many people call steam cleaning. We extract at 300 to 500 PSI with water heated to 200 to 240°F, and the water and soil go back out to the truck. It is the method most carpet manufacturers specify for warranty compliance.

Do you shampoo carpet?

We use hot water extraction instead. Shampoo works a foaming detergent into the pile, and some of it stays behind to draw soil back. Extraction flushes the fiber and recovers the water and soil together. If you call asking for a carpet shampoo, this is the service we book.

Will my carpet feel sticky or crunchy afterward?

It should not. Sticky carpet comes from cleaner left in the fiber. We rinse during extraction and neutralize the carpet if it needs it, which also helps it stay clean longer.

Can you get every stain out?

No. Most soil comes out, and many stains improve. Some older or set-in stains lighten but do not disappear, and dye damage cannot be reversed. We do not always know what will come out until we try, and we tell you that before we start.

What do I need to do before you come?

We send a checklist 24 to 48 hours before the appointment. The main things are to pick up toys and clothes and have the rooms open and available.

How do I get a price?

Call or text (731) 437-0006 or send an estimate request. We respond to requests on the same business day. We ask what needs cleaning, which rooms and the rough sizes. Most carpet cleaning can be estimated over the phone. A home over 4,000 square feet, or a job with smoke odor or a lot of pet stains and odor, normally needs a visit first. You approve the estimate, and then we schedule a time.

Wondering about cost? We do not post prices, but you can see what affects the price of carpet cleaning.
