Granite cleaning in Jackson removes the film of oil, soap and soil that builds up on granite and dulls it. HydroClean uses pH-neutral products that are safe for stone, then rinses and extracts. Granite stands up to acid better than marble or travertine, but it still absorbs oil, so sealing after cleaning is often worth doing.

Granite is tougher than marble. It stands up to acidic spills that would mark marble or travertine, which is why so much of it ends up in kitchens.

What granite does is soak things up. Oil and soap residue work into the surface over time, and the stone starts to look flat and feel a little tacky, even right after it is wiped.

We put down a cleaner that is safe for stone, give it time to work, then rinse and extract it. Wiping with a cloth mostly spreads the film around.

Sealing afterward slows down how fast the stone absorbs oil again. Call (731) 437-0006 or send an estimate request and tell us what you have.

Benefits of Granite Cleaning

  • Takes off the film of oil and soap that dulls granite
  • Products that are safe for the stone and the grout
  • Rinsed and extracted
  • Sealing available afterward

Who This Is For

  • Jackson homes with granite tile floors
  • Entry halls and business lobbies with granite
  • Anyone whose granite looks dull right after cleaning it
  • Anyone unsure whether their granite has ever been sealed

Our Process

  1. Confirm the Stone

The technician confirms the stone is granite before choosing a cleaner.

  2. Apply the Cleaner

A cleaner that is safe for stone goes down and is given time to break down oil and soap film.

  3. Rinse and Extract

The floor is rinsed and the soil and cleaner are extracted.

  4. Seal If You Want It

Sealer goes on the clean stone if you asked for it.

  5. You Look at the Floor

You get a chance to look at the work before we leave.

What's Included

  • Confirmation of the stone
  • A cleaner that is safe for granite
  • Rinse and extraction
  • Sealer, if you asked for it
  • A chance to look at the work before we leave

Realistic Results, Honestly

We would rather set an honest expectation than make a promise we cannot keep.

  • Oil stains that have been in the stone for years may lighten and still show.
  • Dark patches, veins and color differences from tile to tile are the stone. They will still be there on a clean floor.
  • Sealer slows absorption. It does not stop it. Wipe spills up, even on sealed granite.

Safe for Your Family and Pets

The products we use are tested and safe for homes with children and pets, and everything is rinsed off. Granite floors are usually ready for use within 1 to 2 hours.

Granite Cleaning Questions

Can I use vinegar on granite?

We would not. Granite handles acid better than marble, but repeated acidic cleaning wears down the sealer. A pH-neutral stone cleaner is the safer choice.

Why does my granite look dull after wiping?

Usually it is film. Oil and soap residue build up on the surface, and wiping spreads them thinner. A cleaning with a rinse and extraction is aimed at that film.

How do I know if my granite needs sealing?

Put a few drops of water on it and wait a few minutes. If the stone darkens where the water sat, it is absorbing and sealing would help. If the water beads, the sealer on it is still working.

Can you clean and seal on the same visit?

Yes. We clean first, because sealer has to go on clean stone.

Wondering about cost? We do not post prices, but you can see what affects the price of stone and area rug cleaning.
