Realistic Results, Honestly
We would rather set an honest expectation than make a promise we cannot keep.
- We do not strip and wax LVT. The wear layer is the finish.
- Cleaning brings back the sheen the floor was made with. If the tile is matte, it will be clean and matte.
- Scratches in the wear layer do not come out.
- If the floor was waxed before, we cannot tell you what shape the wear layer is in until that coat is off. We look at it first and tell you what we think.

LVT Floor Cleaning Questions
Can you strip and wax luxury vinyl tile?
No. LVT has a factory wear layer that is its finish, and it is cleaned. If your building also has VCT, strip and wax for that floor is a separate service we offer.
How do I tell LVT from VCT?
VCT is usually a plain 12 inch tile in a solid or flecked color. LVT is printed to look like stone, ceramic or wood and usually has some texture. The technician confirms which one you have before we give you an estimate.
My LVT looks cloudy. What happened?
Usually it is residue from cleaning products, or a polish or wax that someone put on it. We look at it first. Residue is what our cleaning is aimed at. An old coat of wax is slower work.
How often should LVT be professionally cleaned?
It depends on traffic. A clinic or office with people coming through all day needs it more often than a home. We will tell you what we would do for your floor.
