Steam Carpet Cleaning in Jackson, TN

Steam carpet cleaning in Jackson is the everyday name for hot water extraction. We put water heated to 200 to 240°F into the carpet at 300 to 500 PSI and vacuum it straight back out to the truck with the soil. It is hot water, not steam vapor, and it is what people mean when they ask for steam cleaning.
When you call and ask for steam cleaning, this is the service you want. The name has stuck for decades. What it describes is hot water extraction: heat, pressure and a strong vacuum pulling soil out of the carpet.
The heat matters. Water at 200 to 240°F breaks down oily soil far better than cold water does. The vacuum matters just as much, because getting the water back out is what leaves the carpet clean and not just wet.
Carpet shampooing is a different method. It works a foaming detergent into the pile and leaves some of it behind, and that residue draws soil back. Steam cleaning, which is hot water extraction, flushes the fiber and rinses it, so we use it on every carpet that can take it. To get a price, call or send an estimate request with the rooms and rough sizes.

Our Process
Walkthrough
We check the fiber, the soil level and the problem areas, and talk them through with you.
Pre-Vacuum
Every area gets vacuumed before any water goes in.
Move Furniture
We move it where needed and clean underneath. It goes back on blocks.
Traffic-Lane Cleaner
We apply it to the walked areas and let it work on the bond between the soil and the fiber.
Heated Extraction
Water at 200 to 240°F goes in at 300 to 500 PSI and comes straight back out with the loosened soil.
Spots and Second Rinse
Anything still showing is treated and rinsed again. The carpet is neutralized if it needs it.
Drying
About half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours. Air movers speed drying.

Realistic Results, Honestly
We would rather set an honest expectation than make a promise we cannot keep.
- Steam cleaning is cleaning, not restoration. It removes soil. It does not repair worn fiber, reverse sun fading or undo dye stains.
- Expect about half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours, of drying time. Humid summer weather stretches it. Air movers and running your heat or air shorten it.
- Set-in stains may lighten a good deal without going away. We do not always know what will come out, and we tell you that before we begin.
Safe for Your Family and Pets
Our products are family safe and pet safe, and we rinse them out. No harsh chemical smell stays in the home, and the heat stays inside the equipment. Keep children and pets off the carpet while it dries.

Steam Carpet Cleaning Questions
Is steam cleaning actually steam?
Not literally. It is heated water and cleaner, not vapor. The trade term is hot water extraction. Steam cleaning is simply what most people call it, and it is the same service.
Is it better to shampoo or steam clean carpet?
Steam clean it. Shampoo foams detergent into the pile, and some stays behind to draw soil back. Steam cleaning flushes the fiber and pulls the water and soil back out. We use it whenever the fiber can take it.
Does steam cleaning ruin carpet?
Not when it is done right. Shrinking and damage come from too much water or heat on the wrong fiber, mostly certain natural fibers. That is why we check the fiber before choosing a method and a temperature, and tell you if another method is safer.
How soon can I put furniture back?
Furniture we move goes back on blocks, so the legs are not sitting on damp carpet. Leave the blocks in place until the carpet is fully dry, usually about half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours.
Is steam cleaning safe for all carpets?
For most synthetic carpet in homes, yes. Wool and some specialty fibers need a lower temperature and different chemistry, and a few call for low-moisture cleaning instead. We check the fiber first.
Wondering about cost? We do not post prices, but you can see what affects the price of carpet cleaning.
