Yes. The products we use in Jackson homes are tested and safe for homes, and we keep the work family safe and pet safe. For severe allergies or sensitivities we have a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume. Tell us about any specific concern before the service. On the day, keep children and pets clear of the hoses.
When a parent calls about safety, the question is usually the same. What will my child be lying on tonight, and what will the dog be walking across? It is a fair thing to ask before you let anyone clean your floors.
The products we use are tested and safe for homes. We have been cleaning floors in family homes around Jackson since 2010.
Some households need more than that. If someone in the home has severe allergies or a sensitivity, we have a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor and no perfume. We need to know before the service, so tell us when you call.
The rest of this page is about the practical side of the day. Most of what needs planning on a cleaning day is not the cleaner. It is the hoses across the floor, a door that stays open, the noise, and floors that are damp for a while afterward.
What We Clean With
Our products are tested and safe for homes. For severe allergies or sensitivities, we have a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume.
On carpet, the cleaner does not stay where we put it. A traffic-lane cleaner goes down to loosen the soil, and then the truck mount flushes the carpet with hot water and vacuums that water back out to the truck. Spots that are still showing are treated and rinsed again. If the carpet needs neutralizing, we do that too.
The hypoallergenic cleaner is there for homes that need it. It has no odor and no perfume. If a strong smell sets off a reaction for someone in your house, or someone has a severe allergy, say so before the service and that is what we will bring.
A specific concern is easier to deal with than a general worry. A baby who has just started crawling, a pet with a health problem, a family member going through medical treatment, a fragrance that causes headaches. Tell us what it is and we can talk through the job with that in mind.
What to Plan For on Cleaning Day
These are the practical things to think about. Each one is easy to manage with a few minutes of planning before we arrive.
Hoses Across the Floor
A vacuum hose and a solution line run from the truck to the room we are working in. They are a trip hazard for anyone moving fast, which describes most children and most dogs. Keep small feet out of that path.
A Door That Stays Open
The hoses hold an outside door open for the length of the job. If you have a toddler who has figured out door handles, or a cat that bolts, settle them in a closed room before we set up.
Noise and the Anxious Dog
The truck mount runs outside, so the loudest part is not in the house. Even so, a nervous dog can take strange equipment and a stranger badly. A crate in the farthest room usually works better than a door right beside the work.
Damp Hard Floors Are Slippery
Tile, stone and hardwood are slick until they dry, which usually takes 1 to 2 hours. Keep children and older adults out of those rooms until then, and take care yourself in socks.
Where to Put Pets
A closed room we are not cleaning, with water and something familiar, is the best spot. A crate works. A fenced yard works in fair weather. The bathroom next to the room being cleaned does not.
Birds, Fish and Caged Pets
These animals cannot leave the room by themselves. Tell us where they are before the service, so we can talk about it and plan the work around that room.
A Safe Visit, Step by Step
Tell Us Before the Service
When you call or send an estimate request, tell us about any specific concern: allergies, sensitivities, a new baby, a pet with a health problem. The earlier we know, the easier it is to plan for.
We Bring the Right Cleaner
Our products are tested and safe for homes. For severe allergies or sensitivities we bring the hypoallergenic cleaner, which has no odor or perfume.
Settle Pets and Children Before We Start
Put pets in a closed room, a crate or the yard before the hoses come in. Keep children out of the rooms being cleaned while we work.
We Clean and Extract
On carpet, the truck mount puts hot water in and vacuums it back out to the truck with the soil. Spots are treated and rinsed again, and the carpet is neutralized if it needs it.
Furniture Goes Back on Blocks
Furniture we moved is put back and blocked, so the legs are not sitting on damp carpet.
Give the Floor Time to Dry
Allow about half a day for carpet to dry, sometimes up to 24 hours. Clean socks are fine before then. Keep crawling babies and pets off until it is dry.
What We Do in a Family Home
- Products that are tested and safe for homes
- A hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume, for severe allergies or sensitivities
- A conversation about your specific concerns before the service
- A walkthrough at the start, where you can point out anything we should know
- Hot water extraction that vacuums the water back out to the truck
- Furniture put back on blocks, off the damp carpet
- A chance to ask questions before we leave
Allergies, Sensitivities and Crawling Babies
If someone in your home has severe allergies or a sensitivity, ask for the hypoallergenic cleaner. It has no odor and no perfume. We need to know ahead of time so it is on the truck.
For a crawling baby, the wait is about dryness. A baby is down on the carpet with hands and face, so keep the baby off it until it is dry. Allow about half a day, sometimes up to 24 hours. Running fans overnight and waiting until morning is the simplest plan.
If the person with the sensitivity can be out of the house while we work, that is the easy answer. It keeps them away from the noise, the open door and the damp floors as well.
If you have a medical question about someone in your household, ask the doctor first. Then tell us what they said and we will work with it.
Honest Safety Expectations
We would rather set an honest expectation than make a promise we cannot keep.
- Safe for homes describes the products and the finished floor. It does not describe a room with hoses and equipment running, so children and pets belong somewhere else while we work.
- Clean socks are fine on carpet before it is fully dry. Bare feet, shoes and paws should wait.
- Hard floors are the slip risk. Tile, stone and hardwood stay slick until they dry.
- With pet urine, most stains come out and the odor is removed or greatly reduced. We cannot promise complete odor removal every time.
- We can only plan for what we know about. Tell us about a specific concern before the service, not at the door.
Safety Questions
Are your cleaning products safe for children and pets?
Yes. The products we use are tested and safe for homes. If someone in the house has severe allergies or a sensitivity, we have a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume. Tell us about it before the service so we bring the right one.
When can my kids get back on the carpet?
In clean socks, once we have finished the room. Hold off on bare feet, shoes and floor play until the carpet is dry. Allow about half a day for that, sometimes up to 24 hours. Air movers and fans speed it up.
Where should I put my dog during the appointment?
A closed room we are not cleaning, a crate, a fenced yard, or a neighbor's house for the afternoon. The concerns are the open door, the hoses underfoot and the noise. A nervous dog settles faster where it cannot see or hear the work.
Will the house smell of cleaning products afterward?
If smell is a concern in your home, ask for the hypoallergenic cleaner. It has no odor and no perfume. Tell us before the service so we have it with us.
I have a fish tank and a bird. What should I do?
Tell us where they are when you call, and point them out again at the walkthrough. A bird cage is best moved to a room we are not cleaning. We will talk through the room with the tank before we start on it.
Somebody here has asthma. What should we do?
Tell us before the service. We have a hypoallergenic cleaner with no odor or perfume for severe allergies and sensitivities. If that person can be out of the house while we work, that is the simplest plan. For anything medical, check with the doctor first.
Tell Us Who Is in the House Before We Arrive
When you request an estimate, tell us about children, pets, allergies and anything else worth knowing. We will plan the job with that in mind.

Ask Before You Book, Not After
If you have a worry about a pet, a health condition or a room we should leave alone, raise it early. It is far easier to plan the job around it than to change course once the hoses are in.
